Santa Maria was the flagship of the expedition of Christopher Colombus in 1492 and 1493 the date on which he introduced the sugar cane  into the islands of the Caribbean.
Santa Maria 1493 Dark rum has been produced, aged and blended to obtain a rare and exquisite brown spirit.
Distilled from selected sugar cane molasses and aged in oak casks on the spot for several long years, it has taken time to get milder and extract from the bourbon casks a sweet mellow character, notes of vanilla and spice (cinnamon and nutmeg ), and a subtle touch of fruitiness (prunes, dried banana) that make it up to highest standards for superior digestive .
