The MBR program can be divided into three according to the mechanism:
First, the main function is solid-liquid separation, which intercepts the solid particles in the system so that the clean filtrate flows out of the system, and its role is similar to the final sedimentation tank in the traditional activated sludge program.
Second, for oxygen transmission, the function of the film in such a system is to direct air into the reaction tank, and to utilize the extremely small characteristics of the membrane pores to make the air bubbles entering the reaction tank relatively small, thus improving the contact between the bubbles and the liquid. The area makes the oxygen transmission efficiency much higher than that of the general activated sludge.
Third, extraction. the film used in this procedure is made of a material that has affinity with specific contaminants. This system can be used to extract toxic organic pollutants from industrial wastewater and contain inorganic pollutants that inhibit it. It is usually used to treat pollutants that cannot be removed by general biological treatment.
