＜Wringer Roll＞
Wringer rolls, bride rolls, and conductor rolls account for 80% of the total number of rolls used in the cold-rolling process. Wringer roll is a device to wring out the warm-water cleansing solution on the sheet surface in pickling and alkali-rinsing lines. It is widely used in the production lines such as CL(cleaning line),ETL(Electrolytic Tinning Line ), PIC(Pickling line),CGL(Continuous galvanizing line),SK(Skin pass mill),CAL(Continuous annealing line),TEL(Tin free line),EGL(Electrolytic galvanizing line) and APL(annealing pickling line). Therefore, the roll surface requires high rigidity to optimize wringing ability on the sheet surface and good elasticity to prevent the solution from winding around both edges of the strip. When high pressure is applied to increase wringing function, the edge of the strip gets wears and cuts; consequently, rolls are required to be equipped with good behavior in wears and cuts resistance. Corrosion resistance is also a required property because pickling and alkali solutions are immersed in the warm water.
Rubber rolls are used to be used in pickling process because of its excellence in corrosion resistance; however,they are unsatisfactory in their wringing performance and mechanical properties.
