A different sedation level is used for target control infusion with only one third of intensity comparing to general anesthesia effect. Patient is put to sleep but capable of following the direction consciously that is instructed by dentist. Swallowing, mouth opening, breathing normally, and maintaining of normal cardiopulmonary function are not affected by TCI. Patient usually wakes up five to ten minutes after the surgery. It an out-patient procedure with twenty to thirty minutes pose-operative rest and patient is discharged. Although patient will be able to travel home alone, a companion is strongly recommended by Magic Dental Clinic.
