Definitions and applications :

 

The range includes two low carbon grades (C < 0,005) :

• aluminium killed steel (AI from 20 to 70)
• pseudo-effervescent (AI < 0.005)

The cold rolled steel strip can be formed by folding or stamping and is suitable for surface treatment.
The pseudo-effervescent grade is intended more particularly for magnetic shields undergoing high temperature heat treatment.

Technical characteristics

 

Mechanical properties : 

• For the two grades, they are :
  • Re (MPa)  < 250
  • Rm (MPa) < 350
  • A%          > 20

Magnetic properties :

The analysis of the metal combined with the cold rolling conditions allows a level of coercive force to be obtained which suits the conditions of later use: on delivery (skin passed): 2 to 3 Oe (oersted), that is 160 to 240 A.m.

Surface properties

One surface aspect is available (MB) combined with two finishes (RM: mat, RL: normal).
The steel strip is delivered uncoated with an oiled surface.
