The range includes three categories of non-alloy steels defined by standard NF EN 10132. These are steels:

• for carburizing and carbonitriding: C10E
• for hardening and tempering, from C22E to C60E
• for springs and other special applications: from C55S to C75S

Special grades are available.

Technical characteristics :

Chemical properties

The qualities of steel are characterized by a grade plus a chemical analysis according to European standards (EN 10132 parts 2 to 4).

Mechanical properties :

These are defined by two states: (EN 10132)

• annealed (A) or annealed and skin passed (LC)
• cold rolled (CR)

The final surface condition is bright, as obtained during rolling or annealing in a controlled atmosphere.
Roughness is agreed when the order is placed.

Protection :

Unless specifically requested otherwise, these products are delivered oiled.
