Teeth are not stable after removing teeth correctors, and it could be ruined the whole result which the patients don’t take serious of retainer. Normally, teeth always move during your lifetime. No matter that you have had correction treatment or not, teeth will move forward. It is OK if your teeth move as long as it doesn’t cause you any problem about appearance or occlusal function. If you want to maintain the result of corrector, you have to wear retainer for long period. Our recommendation: wear 24/7 for 1 or 1.5 years (besides eating and brushing).

After that, you could wear retainer while you are sleeping. Dentist gives advices according on each patient for when and how long they should wear the retainer. In order  to maintain your oral and retainer clean while you are wearing your retainer, avoid eating or drink beverage with sugar and everything that easy to dye your teeth. Brush your teeth before wearing your retainer. The way to clean your retainer: clean water or brush with your teeth brush. Do not soak in hot water to prevent distortion.
